Jipi Japa is a palm leaf plant abundant in the Yucatan peninsula Our master artisans in the state of Campeche carefully cut the leaves of this supple plant, dry them in the sun and then separate them into delicate strips that are then woven and ultimately pressed to give it its distinctive shape. Each hat takes many intricate hours of work to complete.
