ARANTXA SOLIS POZOS

Arantxa Solis Pozos was born in 1990 in Cali, Colombia. She is a Mexican artist who studied at the Faculty of Architecture of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), complementing her academic training at l’École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Paris La Villette. Her current profession is focused on the visual arts, particularly painting and drawing. Her artistic development began in the realm of figurative art, including portraits and nature, which led her to study and delve into forms, volumes, and the behavior of color.
This exploration guided her towards a more abstract style of painting, where a essence of formal observation and landscape prevails.
Her work has been exhibited at Salon ACME (Mexico City, 2022), JO-HS art gallery (Mexico City, 2022), Festival ABC Zona Maco (Baja California, 2023), En Blanco Art (Los Cabos, 2024), Galeria Gotxicoa (Monterrey, 2023), West Coast Arts and Cras (San Francisco, USA, 2022) and she takes part of “Physical Landscapes” exhibition with Alday Hunken Gallery (Georgia, USA, 2024).
In addition to her own painting studio, since 2016 she co-founded FERVOR with the restorer Euri Lorenzo, a workshop dedicated to creating decorative pieces with gold leaf.

CERAMIC ART

Grounded in a tradition of craft yet elevated to the level of contemporary art, the artists pushes boundaries, breaks paradigms, and gives clay a new voice. With textiles of the world as their muse, they believe in challenging materials and taking them to new extremes. Sew, weave, knit, stretch, and fold. Turn a rigid element into something flexible and smooth. Each installation is unique and one of a kind. Works are created with hundreds and thousands of hand-formed and painted ceramic pieces. It is an exacting process requiring many hours of handwork and technical knowledge. The result is a multi-dimensional sensory experience that elevates the aesthetic of interior and exterior settings.
